The Gossen Sixtomat is selenium meter for amateurs. After having preselected the film speed with the selector inside the knob on the side and having opened the rouleau cover of the instrument the light measuring can be done by pointing with the photo cell's window towards the image subject. · On the back of the Sixtomat is the Gossen ‘color finder’ which is supposed to be used to find the temperature of the light so you could see how close it matched the film you had fitted.
