The CT70 can detect circuit and wiring problems such as poor ground impedance, false grounds, missing ground fault protection, low voltage availability under load, and high ground-to-neutral voltage. The CT70 also tests GFCI and EPD circuits. The CT70 calculates the ASCC (Available Short Circuit Current) that a branch circuit can deliver through a breaker in a dead short circuit condition. The ASCC is calculated by dividing the line voltage by the circuit’s line impedance.
